High Quality Programs for School Age Children
Kids Club aims to develop and implement a balanced program that is stimulating,interesting and exciting.Our programs provide the children with a range of opportunities to engage in both leisure and play-based experiences that meet their individual needs,interests and choices.
All our activities and experiences whether planned or spontaneous contribute to the children’s ongoing development and assists them in becoming successful,competent and capable learners.
The National Quality Standards and the National Learning Framework “My Time,Our Place” along with our centre philosophy are used to guide the centre in meeting best practice standards.
Our Before Care,After Care and Holiday Club daily programs are guided by a focus on the following Quality Areas:

Through observations, interactions during play experiences and positive connections with the children the staff are able to plan experiences that are both interest based and meet the needs of the children’s development.
We understand that in school age care we need to nurture the children’s development in life skills and provide activities and experiences that help to extend and enrich the relationships they have both at school,at home and in the community.

Children’s Health and Safety
The safety and wellbeing of the children is of the utmost importance to us.
We aim to provide safe and effective care through the supervision and management of individual children’s needs and the careful documentation of reports dealing with incident,injury or illness.
We work together with both local and government agencies to ensure that we are able to provide appropriate opportunities to children requiring additional support.
We ensure that our staff are continually upgrading their qualifications in managing children’s health issues including First Aid,Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management and that they receive extensive training and ongoing support in managing emergency situations.
We aim to provide nutritious and varied food on our menus for both breakfast and afternoon tea and cater for the individual needs of the children both culturally and allergy related.
The Physical Environment
We ensure that the design and set up of both the indoor and outdoor environments are both safe,age appropriateand well maintained.
Our environments are both inclusive,promote competence, participation and independence.
We take an active role in promoting sustainable practices such as water conservation,recycling and reducing waste and encourage the children through both play experiences and discussions how they can actively care for their environment and the local community.
Kids Club staff are trained and experienced educators with qualified staff in daily management of the centre.
Our staff attend professional development training throughout the year to further develop and extend their skills.
All our staff focus on developing warm and respectful relationships with both the children and their families and encourage active participation and communication in the centre.
Child-Staff ratios are maintained at all times with every staff member fully qualified in Food Safety & Preparation,First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management.
Our staff work collaboratively and challenge,support and learn from each other to further develop their skills and meet best practice standards.
Relationships with children
At Kids Club we focus on developing relationships with the children that are warm,respectful and build a sense of trust.The dignity and rights of each and every child is maintained at all times.
Every child is supported to feel secure, confident and included.
Through play-based experiences the children are supported to work with, learn from and help others through all aspects of the program.Children are supported to manage their own behaviour ,respond appropriately to the behaviour of others and communicate effectively to resolve conflicts with their peers.
We aim to actively promote a strong sense of security and belonging.
Partnerships with families and communities
All the families at Kids Club are a valuable asset to our community and we encourage your participation and support throughout the year.We recognise the importance of sharing your ideas,suggestions and skills to further enhance our programs.
Kids Club aims to develop positive,supportive relationships with our families along with communication systems that allow us to share information effectively.
Our enrolment and orientation process is both efficient and informative and encourages and welcomes families to come in and spend as much time as is required for you to feel comfortable with the centre.
All information gathered by the centre through the enrolment process is confidential and remains secure at all times.
Our Information areas within the centre are both clear and informative and provide information to families about the centre,the school, what’s happening in the local communit and relevant support agencies.
We also share information with families by emailing fee statements, newsletters,memos and notices out on a regular basis.
Leadership and service management
We aim to ensure that our Kids Club centres are operated in a professional manner and that all relevant guidelines,acts,regulations and quality assurance systems are adhered to.
We aim to provide a quality service that meets the needs of the children and their families and is both resourceful and affordable.
Our Centre Coordinators and Managers meet regularly to discuss issues relating to the day to day operations of the service and communicate effectively and regularly with families in relation to decisions and changes within the centre.
Issues and or complaints can be made by speaking to the Coordinator or Manager or by writing to the centre.
The centre holds monthly staff meetings and coordinators meetings where issues and the further development of the centre is discussed.
In order to effectively manage our financial accounts,our centres use Qikkids Software which is a DEEWR certified fee management system.
Statements to families are emailed weekly and our Admin Officer is available to discuss any issues that you may have in relation to your fees or enrolment.
